Who can become a CIF member?
CIF offers contractor, trade and affiliated membership, along with a dedicated SME contractor category. Its membership includes construction businesses, suppliers, manufacturers and specialist trades. CIF can help confirm the right category for your business.
How are membership fees determined?
Published contractor and trade or affiliated membership categories use annual company turnover. SME contractors have a dedicated category with documentation requirements. Contact CIF for the current fee schedule and an assessment of your category.
Does CIF support smaller contractors?
Yes. CIF welcomes qualifying SMEs and describes support through networking and connections with established contractors looking for subcontractors. Its membership guidance asks SME applicants to provide the relevant registration certificate.
Can nonmembers attend CIF training?
The published course catalogue includes both member and nonmember rates. Explore the programmes here, then contact CIF to confirm current dates, entry requirements, availability and pricing.
How can I find a contractor or supplier?
Use the directory to explore businesses by name, service category and city. The demo contains a curated selection from CIF's public listings. Contact a business directly to discuss your project and confirm its current services and suitability.
What support is available to members?
CIF's published services cover employment and labour relations, government representation, health and safety, marketing and networking, industry information, recruitment and training. It also provides information about the industry's pension fund.
